Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Pawdiary account and data, in the Pawdiary app (iPhone or Android) or on the web. Pawdiary is run by JE DARLINGTON LIMITED, registered in England and Wales, company number 17500620.

Business owners

1. Sign in to Pawdiary (the app, or app.pawdiaryapp.com) and open Settings > Account.

2. Optional: choose "Export all data" to keep a copy.

3. Under "Delete this business", type the business name, tick "Delete my login too", and choose "Delete business for ever".

This deletes the business and all of its clients, pets, bookings, groom notes, photos, payment records, messages and signed terms, cancels your plan, and deletes your login.

Staff

Sign in, open Settings > Account and choose "Delete my login". Your login is deleted and you're removed from the business. The business's own records (clients, bookings and notes you added) stay with the owner, because they belong to the business.

If you've signed up but haven't set up a business

Sign in and choose "Delete my login" on the set-up page.

If you can't sign in

Email hello@pawdiary.co.uk from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. We'll confirm it's you, then delete it within 30 days and tell you when it's done.

Pet owners

Your details belong to your groomer. Ask them to delete them, or use "Ask for your data to be deleted" in their client portal. You can also email hello@pawdiary.co.uk and we'll pass your request on and help them respond.

What we keep, and for how long

• Deleted data is removed straight away from the live service, and from backups within a further 30 days.
• Records of payments and invoices for your Pawdiary plan are kept by our payment provider, Stripe, for as long as UK tax law requires (usually 6 years).
• A note that an account was deleted, with no name or email, is kept in our security log.
